Why Are Almost All Electric Bicycles Now Equipped With Converters ?

The earliest 36V and 48V Electric Bicycles did not have converters. That is to say, all the light bulbs and speakers in the car are configured based on the power supply voltage. For example, a 48V car has a light bulb with a working voltage of 56V. Why does the 48V voltage light bulb need to use 56V?
The controller plays a role in regulating the output current of the Lithium Battery and controlling the power of the Ebike Motor . Electric Bikes do not operate at full power from the beginning, just like the throttle of a car, in order to adjust the engine power, this controller must be used.
When the electric vehicle is just fully charged, the voltage at both ends of the battery pack is much higher than 48V, and may reach around 54V. Therefore, a higher rated voltage is required. The disadvantage of this design is also that the working voltage of the light bulb is too high, which causes relatively large energy loss to the battery. Another important issue is that when the Lithium Battery is low, the voltage drops accordingly, such as to the undervoltage protection value. The voltage difference in between is relatively large, and the light bulb is relatively easy to burn out.
The electric vehicle controller is the core control device used to control the start, operation, advance and retreat, speed, stop, and other electronic components of the Ebike Motor. It is like the brain of the Electric Bike and is an important component on the Electric Bike .
